Frequently Asked Questions About Filing a Google Ads Refund Claim
Have questions about your eligibility, refund potential, or what happens next? This section addresses the most common concerns about filing a Google Ads arbitration or refund claim, so you can move forward with clarity and confidence.
Who qualifies for a Google Ads arbitration claim?
Any U.S.-based advertiser who purchased Google Ads or Display campaigns from August 2016 and did not opt out of Google’s arbitration terms.
How much compensation could I receive?
Advertisers can claim up to 30 percent of their total ad spend, depending on account history. Actual recoveries will varydepend on arbitration or settlement results.
What is the deadline to file?
Multiple arbitrations are being filed now. Early filing secures your place in the process.
What happens after I fill out the form?
You’ll receive an eligibility confirmation and next steps for formal filing. You will also receive an engagement agreement for the law firm leading this arbitration process.
Do I owe anything if my claim is unsuccessful?
No. You pay nothing unless there is a successful recovery.
Is this a class action or individual arbitration?
This is an individual arbitration, as required by Google’s Terms of Service.
What if I advertised through an agency?
You may still qualify. If your business paid Google directly for the campaigns and the agency supervised the account, your claim is still valid.
What information do I need?
Just your Google Ads Account IDs (a single GAID or multiple GAIDs) and an approximate spend range to start. We will also need your business name, address, contact details, the name of the authorized signatory, and the email address associated with your Google Ads account.
